                             &
   2 Day Encaustic Intensive for
                 the Fiber Artist
                  June 4-5, 2016

In May and June, I am excited to return to the Quilt Surface Design Symposium in Columbus to teach an Encaustic with Fabric Class.

This class incorporates collage using fabric and paper with encaustic paint creating layered surfaces that have luminosity and depth.  By working on small boards the participants will be able to complete several pieces and really experiment with the encaustic medium.

The class is held at the Columbus College of Art and Design, a great facility.  The interaction between all of the various courses is stimulating.
Join us for 5 days or 2 days of creativity and art making!

                   A Book in a Box
              August 20 and 21, 2016

               Morgan Conservatory
                    of Papermaking
                    Cleveland Ohio

  Need something closer to home?
This 2 day class is taught at the Morgan Conservatory in Cleveland.  Another great facility with lots of wonderful classes and instructors.

In this class students will make a small box selected from pre-made patterns.  The box can be created from old drawings, prints or from
blank paper.  Collage, paint, colored pencil can be used to embellish the surface.

Once open, the box reveals the "book", text, or short story which can be sewn in or glued to the inside of the box.  Students supply the text or content for the book.  One has the option of making 2 or 3 different books or creating an edition or several copies of the same book.

For more information visit the Morgan's website:
