December 22, 2014: Six Artworks, Ten Suns

12 x 18", 6 individual pieces on cradled boards

Here is the series so far in one possible arrangement.  As you can see they are not in the order in which they were created.  Obviously I need to include more blue, but I like the vertical sections that have occurred in most of the pieces.  It will be fun to see the many arrangements that can be made once more pieces are added to the series.
How many pieces will there be?

  1. I think this is fabulous as a whole. Your choice of placement for six paintings is spot on. You have a great eye. I will look forward to seeing more

  2. Thanks, Julie! It is always nice to get some feedback and validation, especially on new work.

  3. I like the way the circle shapes move around the composition when looked at as a whole. They remind me of orbiting moons or planets.

  4. Thanks for commenting. And I think the whole "everyday movement" can be for anything we do in the arts, not just painting. I think your drawings will be a perfect fit for a daily practice. I am planning to include drawings and collages into my daily (or almost daily) art plan. It's just about doing it every day!
